New to the world of blogging, I was born a Western Girl and will always be one at heart. I went to Bible college where I earned a B.S., Secondary English Education. Almost four years ago, I moved to PA where I met and married my best friend, John. We've been enjoying married life for 2 years now. We just bought our first home, so our time is currently consumed with the "settling in" process. We love serving in our church youth group, hosting adult volleyball night, and spending time with family and friends. In my spare time, I enjoy such extreme sports as reading, lounging (Add my recent interest: extreme blogging) and watching TiVoed episodes of "The Apprentice." Sadly we missed the season finale because of the move, and because it took a while to get cable in our new place.

Hey, Ruth
I don’t believe we have your new address. Could you send that to us?
Ruth, I read your blog on faith or foolishness. (Googled and found it) I am currently wrestling with that question. How can you know the difference between stepping out in faith or just being foolish? Your blog shined a little light on it for me – Faith comes by hearing…. Man offers a worldly wisdom that seems right, but could be foolish, ie: life insurance etc. But God gives us supernatural wisdom – ” I am the way…” Thank you for being open enough to post your thoughts on this subject. Even though they are now a year old, God is still using them.
Hi Allen, thanks for your comment, and welcome to my blog. I praise that Lord that reading something I posted over a year ago was an encouragement to you! In that post, one friend commented and gave me this timely reminder: it is not my faith itself but rather the Object of that faith that is worthy of trusting in. Jesus Christ can be the only object of true faith, and He has revealed himself to us in His Word.
I had forgotten about that post… a year later my life looks quite different than it did back then (at least from the inside) I thank God for directing my path and ordering my steps before me! Thanks for the reminder.
So I didn’t know you had a blog! See how new I am at this! Thanks for your support for mine. Glad I happened upon yours!
